Biometric Pad - Battery

Hello clever people at Aqara. I have had a thought for a product that I am not sure currently exists on the market.

I’d love a biometric fingerprint reader.

There are four people in my household and we all like our bathroom lights settings, colours slightly differently. Whilst I could put a scene button on the outside of each of our bathrooms with different, single, click, doubleclick, etc to select your scene, what would be great wuld be a biometric scanner.

Based on the biometric entry, the scene could be set up for the matching biometric user.

Users could even register different fingers to create different scenes.

For me this would put creating automations for users on a whole new level that no one currently does.

Because you carry your finger with you everywhere, I would place one of these on each of my bathrooms and set up the scenes for the user’s finger inputs.

What are your thoughts?

Why not use the Aqara Cube T1 Pro, it’s perfect for this?

Because I would like it on an entry to the bathroom like a light switch.

While the cube is ok, It’s something loose and could get misplaced.

I worked where they constantly used wall-mounted fingerprint scanners with different access levels for different rooms. While this was convenient at first, after three months of use, it wasn’t so convenient anymore. The most convenient ones were those mounted on a round door handle at an angle of about 45 degrees.
Overall, it’s an interesting idea.
But I think it will be very unpopular and therefore very expensive.

The convenience is that a person detection that can be used to automate the lighting for the given user.

The thing with Aqara’s biometric hardware it’s so darn fast and accurate.

I’m currently testing there Rim Lock and the biometric is so solid and fast.
