Blink Mini Camera IR Mode Troubleshooting and Solution

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Blink Mini camera and its IR mode. I’ve had this camera set up for a while now, and it’s been working great—until recently. I noticed that the camera was constantly triggering the IR mode, even when there was no motion detected. It was driving me crazy with notifications and videos popping up every few seconds!

Initially, I thought it might be a software glitch, so I tried updating the Blink app and the camera firmware. No luck there. I also checked the placement of the camera to ensure it wasn’t picking up any accidental motion or light changes. Everything seemed fine on that front too.

Then, I remembered reading somewhere that the camera’s sensitivity settings could sometimes cause false triggers. I decided to dive into the app and see if tweaking those settings would help. After some trial and error, I found that adjusting the motion sensitivity and disabling the automatic IR mode made a huge difference.

Now, the camera only triggers when there’s actual motion, and I’ve stopped getting those annoying false alerts. It’s such a relief to have my camera working properly again!

If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I highly recommend checking your sensitivity settings and experimenting with different configurations. It might take a bit of time, but it’s worth it to get your camera back to working like it should.
