Building a Robust Zigbee Mesh: Tips and Experiences

I’ve recently delved into the world of Zigbee mesh networking, and it’s been an exciting journey! After experiencing significant interference from my home’s Wi-Fi network, I decided to switch the Zigbee channel on my HUSBZB-1 hub. This change has made a noticeable difference in the stability of my setup, but now I’m faced with the task of re-adding 28 lights to my mesh network.

I’m curious about the best approach to reintegrating these devices. Should I start with the lights closest to the Zigbee stick and work my way outward, or does the order not matter? I’m also wondering if there are any specific strategies or tools that can streamline this process.

From my initial research, it seems that some users swear by organizing their devices into logical groups before adding them, while others recommend ensuring each new device is within range of the existing mesh before proceeding. I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully built a large-scale Zigbee network—what worked for you?

This experience has only deepened my appreciation for the flexibility and potential of Zigbee technology. I’m eager to learn more and continue expanding my smart home setup. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips you can share!
