Buttons is useless for blinds tilt

I want to use buttons on Roller shade driver E1 to set desired position and tilt blinds, but button is so unresponsive (so slow to respond) that is almost impossible to use them to specific blinds tilt.

Could it be fixed?

Which buttons are you referring to?

Buttons on roller shade driver E1 units (physical buttons). For
going up/down. It’s pity that unit is not supporting double press for selected scenarios or scene.

Got it. I thought you might have meant you were using external buttons in an automation.

The buttons always respond with the same delay. With a little practice, however, you can also align zebra blinds correctly. If you have zebra blinds, I can give you a few more tips.

It’s a shame that the buttons can’t be configured in the app, that’s true. Personally, I don’t really use the buttons anymore, except to open or close them completely. Instead, I’ve set up a few scenes that I trigger via Siri or other switches so that the blinds are aligned correctly.

You are right, that buttons respond with same delay, but in my case all installed blinds have big hysteresis when changing direction. In other words If I miss the desired position, I have to wait for a different time to return to it, which makes it very difficult to reach the correct position. Much simpler is used app. For me that is no problem, but for wife without app installed it’s nightmare to operate them correctly.

I can totally relate to that! That’s exactly why I set up scenes that enable my wife to operate the blinds via voice commands. When you say “Good morning” or “Room bright”, the blinds adjust to be partially transparent. When you say “Good evening” or “Close blinds”, they close. Saying “Ventilate” or “Open blinds” opens the blinds.

I’ve also installed a few H1 Wireless Switches that can be used to trigger these scenes if you don’t feel like talking to the voice assistant.

The blinds are also adjusted at certain times of day and when the room’s light levels reach a certain threshold.

I even made a video of it for CES Showcase.
