Camera G2H pro reset

Hi all. I am new to the Home/Aqara ecosystem. I have had the above camera for about 4 months, purchase from the Apple Store, and I have consistently had connectivity issues. It keeps going off line and off the app. I hear it announce the reset function, despite reset not being pushed, which explains the disappearance from the Aqara app, but not why it does it. I was previously on starlink 2.4 (also tried 5), where it would barely last a day before disappearing, but I am now on fttp and it lasts about 3 days before resetting. I have manually reset everything many times, but nothing fixes it. My download speed ranges from a pathetic 10mbps to an impressive (for my state) 550mbps. Does anyone have a fix for this (it does have the late’s firmware)?

  1. Check Power Supply: Ensure that the camera hub is plugged in and receiving power. Check for any power indicator lights to see if it is on.
  2. Restart the Camera Hub:Unplug the camera hub from the power source, wait for about 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can help reset the device.
  3. Check Internet Connection: Make sure that your internet connection is stable. Check if other devices connected to the same network are online.
  4. Reboot Your Router: Sometimes, restarting your router can resolve connectivity issues. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
  5. Check Network Status:If your camera hub is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure that it is within range of the Wi-Fi signal. If necessary, move it closer to the router.
  6. Look for Firmware Updates:Ensure that the firmware of your camera hub is up to date. Use the manufacturer’s app or website to check for updates.
  7. Inspect Cables and Connections:Examine any cables connected to the camera hub for damage or loose connections.
  8. Check the App/Software:If you’re using an app to control the camera hub, ensure that the app is up to date. Try closing and reopening the app.

Hi Naomi. I have done all this many times, but I will go through the list on what I have done again.

  1. On, and doesn’t go off unless there is a power disruption (but that shouldn’t reset it…should it?)
  2. Reset (about 10 times now)
  3. Starlink dropped out sometimes, but the camera reset every time. We now have fttp and it is still resetting.
  4. Rebooted router…again with same result. Purchased a tp link (expensive) router to “fix” the issue, but alas, it is still happening.
  5. The router is 6m away with no walls in between.
  6. Firmware is up to date
  7. New cables
  8. Aqara app is working and so is Apple HomeKit. When it resets, both apps lose the connection with the camera and I need to reinstall it. This has happened countless times now, so I suspect the camera may be faulty.
Normal operations from other products allow for dropouts and power failure, they just auto join when it is all restored. I have been sitting near the camera and I have heard it say…resetting, without a power failure, and checking the internet when I hear this, it was working, as was the router (I was on my iPad at the time). Do you have any other suggestions on how to fix it?
