Hi,
I have multiple AQARA cameras including several G3 and a couple of E1 cams, too. I needed to switch them over to a new WiFi SSID so I started with removing the device from Apple Home, then used the 5sec WiFi reset. I was eventually able to get it connected over to the new SSID and proceeded to pair it again with HomeKit. But it failed to pair. I did a full factory reset (10 presses) and had reset conformation, got it connected to the new SSID, and tried again to pair. Still got an error of either “can’t find the accessory” or “pairing failed”. I’ve attempted the pairing process more times than I can count and all fail. I’ve already got it paired again in the Aqara app. I’ve tried pairing it directly from HomeKit and also tried using the 3rd party connection within the device settings of the Aqara app. I’ve restarted my iOS device, tried a different iOS device, rebooted my AppleTV which is acting as my Apple Home hub, reset the camera again, double checked to make sure the device was removed from HomeKit, rebooted the camera, etc. I’ve had the same issue with two G3s and also an E1. I have 3 more cameras I need to switch over but I don’t dare try till I figure out what’s causing these three cameras to fail pairing back with HomeKit. Just to be clear, I’m starting with the HomeKit integration not Matter as I understand HomeKit is what’s required to view the camera feed itself (whereas Matter is primarily for the hub function and child devices). I’ve searched but can’t find anything that helps yet. Any ideas would be super helpful. Thanks so much in advance.
