I’ve shared some of this with Aqara when I first got their hardware several years ago and despite their own admittance that there were broken and very poorly “designed’ areas they assured me that these would be fixed quickly in future updates.
None of this happened.
Let’s’ take about the disgusting waste of screen space;
Why on a landscape iPad are you forcing all of the settings, configuration and data screens for a device in a portrait iPhone window?!
You compound this when you get this awful situation;
Where you shove the manual into this stupidly tiny window and then prevent pinch zoom so that someone over the age of 40 can read it.
This gets worse when you show a wizard (paged view) because not only is the text wrapping off but it’s trying to do landscape in a stupid iPhone portrait window that means you can’t read anything - plus the fonts are so small!
The location of the ‘back’ chevron and the ‘save’ icons move up and down and left and right or have poor spacing around them and then on the G410 fullscreen view, the location of the back button is hidden/obscured by the timestamp:
I could go on, because I have a degree and a masters in software and ui design and I could take virtually every page of this app apart but forcing every device page into portrait iPhone restrictions is reall, really messed up.
Not everyone lives with their phone in their hand; using an iPad, especially in landscape is much better for those with access7issues, vision issues or the general eye deterioration of being over 40.
When are you going to do a proper pass on your app and address all these and more?
I have so much Aqara tech and most of it is the best on the market, but I loathe having to use your app and the virtually non existent car and consideration you’ve given to iPad users or people without perfect eyesight.
