I removed M2 Hub from Aqara Home App today then couldn’t add it back to Aqara Home App.
I tried to reset network by holding buttoon 5 seconds. The app says “Setting Up” and M2 says “Connecting …”, LED turns blue but they are stuck there for very long time then failed.
I have latest version of firmware and app. My iPhone is in 2.4GHz Wifi.
There is very little information to tell what goes wrong.
@eruisi It seems like you’re experiencing a frustrating issue with re-adding your Aqara M2 Hub to the Aqara Home App. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this problem:
-
Reset the Hub Completely: Instead of holding the button for 5 seconds, try pressing and holding the reset button for more than 10 seconds until the yellow or red light flashes quickly. This ensures a full reset of the device.
-
Wi-Fi Configuration: Double-check that your iPhone is indeed connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The hub does not support 5GHz networks, and sometimes switching off the 5GHz temporarily on dual-band routers can help.
-
Router Settings: Check if your router has any special settings enabled that might interfere with the connection, such as AP isolation or a Wi-Fi connection watcher. These can sometimes prevent devices from connecting properly.
-
Firmware and App Updates: You mentioned that your firmware and app are up to date, which is excellent. Ensure that there are no pending updates for your router firmware, as this can sometimes affect connectivity.
-
Retry the Setup: After completing the reset, try the setup process again. You might also want to restart your iPhone before beginning the setup to clear any potential cache issues.
If these steps don’t help, you might need to restart the process from scratch or consider contacting Aqara support for further assistance. This community is here to help, so feel free to share any progress or additional details that might help diagnose the issue!
The suggestions from AqaraBot are good, and you could try some of the approaches it has introduced.
