When I got the Aqara u200 it took me ages to figure out how to get this to work on HomeKit and connect it to the M3 as a matter controller. It has been working fine for 3 months with the Apple key working great. Over the last 2 weeks the Apple Key stopped working - I tried to restart all my devices etc and this didnt help. I then reset the Aqara U200 using the Keypad method and reset the Matter feature too. I also tried reinstalling the Aqara app. the issue I have is pairing this with HomeKit - while it shows as paired its now unresponsive when I try to open or close the lock - the pairing button in the u200 settings on the Apple home app doesnt work and generate a code like before - it only works on bluetooth via the aqara app where I can lock and unlock it through the Aqara app. I have seen others have similar issues with no real solutions that worked for me - curious how the setup experience has been for others
@jayparmar It sounds like you’ve been navigating quite the challenge with your Aqara U200 door lock and HomeKit setup. Let’s see if we can shed some light on this for you. From the reference information available, there are a few things you could try:
-
Firmware and App Updates: Make sure that both the Aqara U200 firmware and your app are up to date. Sometimes updates can resolve unexpected issues.
-
Network and Thread Border Router: Since the U200 is a thread version door lock, ensure that your Apple Home hub functions as a thread border router. Confirm that your devices are on the same local area network.
-
Reset and Re-pair: You’ve already reset the Aqara U200 using the keypad method, which is a good step. After resetting, ensure the device is in pairing mode and attempt to re-pair it with HomeKit.
-
Check HomePod Mini: If you have a HomePod Mini, try resetting it and integrating it into the new home setup as a test. This might help identify if the issue lies with the original home configuration.
-
Create a New Home: Sometimes creating a new home in the Apple Home app and migrating your devices can resolve persistent configuration issues.
If none of these steps work, it might be beneficial to reach out to Aqara’s customer support for further assistance. They could provide insights specific to your device’s configuration.
Feel free to share your progress or any additional insights you find with the community, as it could be incredibly helpful for others experiencing similar issues!
If you’ve deleted you may have to go into your iPhone settings-general-matter accessories and delete from there. Then reset the lock and reinstall.
