Can't factory reset my shutter switch H2 EU

Hello,
I had paired my shutter switch with zigbee2mqtt and it wasn’t fully recognized. So I want to redo the pairing.
I tried to factory reset with pressing 10 times any button, as it is said in the documentation but nothing happened.
How can I factory reset my shutter switch ?
Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum.
If you bought a switch second-hand, the previous owner could have installed protection against removing the switch (without thinking about it before buying).

It’s a new item, not a second hand.

Restart all network equipment and try again.

Hi. You have to press the button ten times in quick succession. Very quickly. I’m not sure if the buttons on the left for the roller shutter work either. Try pressing the button at the bottom right – that’s how I managed to reset it last time.

I don’t understand the needing to restart all my networks equipment for doing a factory reset ?
My need is to make a new pairing for the shutter switch.
I don’t give any wifi informations and the shutter-switch dont have any IP, so my network switches and routers are really the ones you want me to restart ?
For my zigbee routers (about 10), I get some critical services (power outlet coordinators). I restart the zigbee coordinator, and retry factory reset without success.

I tried with the 4 buttons to press 10 times (factory reset), i also tried 2 short and 1 more than 5s to restart pairing without success.
I will try one more time shortly on your advice.
I tell you the result in few minutes (time to try with 4 buttons).

At the very least, the LEDs should react in some way.

I’m not sure if performing a factory reset would revert the switch to the Thread firmware. If so, you would then need to reinstall the Zigbee firmware via the Aqara Home app.

If it’s brand new, you’ll definitely need to switch from the Thread firmware to the Zigbee firmware.

I tried more shortly on the bottom right, no purple led blinking…
But I tried immediatly on the upper right and wow, leds are blinking !
Thanks.

When I did it before, it never blink, I had the blue led on each pressure on the button but never the purple blinking.
For the smart calibration (after factory reset), I double pressed up 2 times and down 2 times… it doesn’t work. So as same as for factory reset I did it again without waiting for the 2nd try and it works.
Thanks a lot for you help JohnD

You’re welcome! Yes, I remember finding it tricky too. It took me a few attempts as well. Still, it’s better than accidentally resetting it! :grimacing:
