CCU3 Expansion with IP Thermostats: Insights and Experiences

Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring the world of smart home automation for a while now, and I’m really excited to share my recent journey with the CCU3 system. A few months back, I decided to expand my setup, starting with integrating some Heizkörperthermostaten. The question that’s been on my mind is whether it’s worth investing in HM-IP components like IP thermostats and temperature sensors over the standard ones. From what I’ve gathered, the IP versions offer some pretty cool advantages, like better integration with smart home systems and more seamless control via apps. But I’m still curious about any potential downsides or limitations others might have experienced.

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is the user interface. I’d love to have a more intuitive way to control my thermostats without constantly logging into the CCU3 web interface. This led me to look into the Mediola AIO CREATOR NEO package. It seems like a great tool for creating custom apps, but I’m not entirely sure how user-friendly it is for someone like me who’s not super tech-savvy. Has anyone had success with this tool or can recommend other options that are easy to use?

Privacy and security are also big concerns for me. I’d prefer that all communication between my devices happens directly through my Fritzbox and VPN, without relying on third-party servers. I’d love to hear others’ experiences with data privacy when using IP-based systems and how they ensure their setups are secure.

If anyone has tips or insights on these topics, I’d be really grateful! It’s been a fascinating journey so far, and I’m eager to learn more.
