Hello Hubitat Community, I’m a recent convert from Wink and still learning the ropes. I’ve been trying to set up an automated Christmas lighting display using my Sylvania color bulbs in the front yard. My goal is to have them alternate between green and red, with half the bulbs switching every second or so. It’s a simple idea, but I want it to look polished and not too flashy. I’ve heard that Hubitat is great for automation, but I’m not entirely sure how to approach this. Would it be better to use Scenes or Rules? Should I assign specific colors to groups of bulbs and then toggle them? I’m also wondering if there’s a way to make the transition smoother or add a slight delay to make it more noticeable without being annoying. I’d love to hear how others have tackled similar projects. Have you used any specific apps or integrations to achieve this? Any tips on optimizing performance or ensuring reliability? Thanks in advance for your insights! Ken C.
