Cloud storage - 1 or 6 months?

I activated my G5 Pro about 3 weeks ago. But Cloud Storage indicates only one month. As I know, should be 6 months / 24h free cloud storage. I have 4.3.4 firmware and Aqara V5.2.4.

@ESSCO4355 It seems you’re trying to sort out the details of your cloud storage for the Aqara G5 Pro. Based on the reference information, the free cloud storage service for the G5 Pro operates as follows:

  • For the first 0-6 months after the initial connection to the network, you should receive 1 day of video storage.
  • From 7-24 months, the storage reduces to 12 hours of video storage.
  • After 24 months, the free storage option is no longer available.

To ensure you’re getting the correct storage allocation, ensure your app is updated to at least version 5.1.8 and that the recording feature is enabled in the detection settings. Your firmware version 4.3.4 and Aqara app version 5.2.4 seem up to date, so those should be fine.

If this doesn’t solve the issue, you might want to double-check these settings or contact the support team for further assistance. It’s always great to see users like you engaged in maximizing the use of their smart home devices! Feel free to share any updates or further questions with the community.

How do I enable this feature? When I go to Cloud Storage, I only see “Purchase” button.

@ESSCO4355 To enable the free cloud storage feature for your Aqara G5 Pro, you need to ensure that the recording feature is enabled in the detection settings. Here’s a quick guide to help you get started:

  1. Open the Aqara App: Navigate to the detailed page of your G5 Pro camera.
  2. Device Settings: Go to “Device Settings” and then to “Detection Settings.”
  3. Enable Recording: Make sure that one of the detection settings like motion detection or any other available detection feature is enabled. This should activate the recording function.

If the “Purchase” button is still appearing, it might be due to a configuration issue. Double-check that your app is updated beyond version 5.1.8, as this is necessary for the feature to work correctly. Your current app version of 5.2.4 should be fine.

If everything seems correct and you’re still experiencing issues, it could be helpful to reach out to Aqara’s support team for more personalized assistance. They can provide further guidance on ensuring your free cloud storage is set up properly.

Feel free to update us here with any progress or further questions!

All the required conditions are met, still I have “Purchase” Home Guardian button when I go to Cloud Storage. I contacted Customer Service.

After your 1-month HomeGuardian service expires, the video cloud storage will be reduced to 1 day. During the first month of using the HomeGuardian service, the video cloud storage is 90 days.

I activated the recording, but on Albums/Cloud video, I only have 12 secons shots based on person detection. No 24h recordings. And I have also Purchase button on Storage Settings.

Aqara cloud video does not support 24h recordings, only for the event recording
The free cloud storage service is as follows, based on the first time about the Aqara G5 Pro Camera Hub connects to the network:

0-6 Months: 1 day of video storage
7-24 Months: 12 hours of video storage
Beyond 24 Months: Video storage will no longer be free

If you still have the issue, I would recommend you email Aqara support at support@aqara.com
