I’ve been experimenting with integrating my StellaZ TRVs and Secure thermostat to optimize my heating system. While the setup works, it’s not perfect because the thermostat often shuts off the boiler based on its reading, ignoring the TRVs’ signals. This can be frustrating, especially when you want the boiler to respond to the TRVs’ call-for-heat requests.
I initially thought about writing some LUUP code to calibrate the temperature sensors, but that seemed a bit too involved. Instead, I’ve been exploring how to detect a call-for-heat signal directly from the TRVs. This approach would allow the boiler to activate based on the TRVs’ needs without relying solely on the thermostat’s reading.
If anyone has successfully implemented a similar solution or has tips on how to trigger the boiler based on TRV signals, I’d love to hear about it! Sharing experiences like this really helps us all improve our setups. Let’s keep the discussion going and help each other achieve smarter home heating systems. ![]()
