Automation designed for families to make the life easier.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing
Well done
Nice one! I have a similar automation set up for myself with the locks and lights. But I hadn’t thought of using the motion sensor to trigger an indoor lock. Cool idea.
Does the door unlock for anyone, or only a person with a phone?
When I or my family come home, a HomeKit automation triggers a webhook and then the workflow runs and the door opens. That’s why the door unfortunately doesn’t open when I just go into the garden or take out the garbage.
The door only opens when one of us comes home and then the camera detects a movement within 10 minutes. If the time is exceeded, the workflow is canceled (for safety, for example, if you only drive past the house or something like that).
Here are some screenshots from the „Controller for HomeKit“-App (But I’m just gradually rebuilding to Home Assistant)
