Hello everyone,
I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and while it’s been an exciting journey, I’ve encountered a few bumps along the way. I thought I’d share my experiences and see if anyone else has faced similar issues or has some tips to help me out.
First off, I’ve been trying to expand my Hue lighting setup. I currently have 10 Hue lights integrated into my SmartThings configuration, and I recently purchased 3 more. I successfully added them to the Hue app, but when I tried to sync them with SmartThings, I ran into some trouble. The new lights don’t show up in the SmartThings app, even after going through the bridge settings. I’m hoping there’s a way to add them without having to reset all my current rules and configurations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Another issue I’ve been dealing with is setting up a trip alarm for my outdoor sensors. I have a GC2 system with outdoor sensors on my gates. Ideally, I want the sensors to notify me when the panel is disarmed, but if the panel is armed, I want them to trigger the alarm. The catch is that I’d like this alarm to only activate at night to avoid false triggers from gardeners or late deliveries. I’m also curious about the reliability of 2Gig outdoor switches compared to Honeywell ones. Has anyone had experience with these?
Lastly, I’ve been experiencing some odd behavior with my Philio Pan07. It seems to randomly turn on and off, especially at 20 minutes past the hour. This has been a bit of a nuisance, especially since it was working fine initially. I’ve checked the scenarios and everything seems to be in order. I’m wondering if there’s a known issue with this device or if there’s a setting I might have missed.
If anyone has encountered these issues or has some troubleshooting steps, I’d love to hear from you. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m determined to get everything up and running smoothly!
Best regards,
