I recently embarked on a project to configure my CCU3 for a custom automation setup, and I thought I’d share my journey with the community. My goal was to create a system where pressing the lower button of my HmIP-BSL switch for more than 2 seconds would trigger a 60-minute light activation, while also making the upper button’s LED blink. Additionally, I wanted the upper button to override the system and turn off the lights immediately, regardless of the current state.
At first, I found myself a bit overwhelmed, especially with the LED blinking functionality. I scoured the forums and documentation, but it wasn’t immediately clear how to achieve this. However, with some trial and error, I managed to piece together the necessary configurations.
One of the challenges I encountered was understanding how to invert the actor’s state in the CCU3 interface. Initially, the status seemed reversed, which was confusing. After some research, I discovered that this could be adjusted within the device settings, which was a relief.
I’d love to hear from others who have tackled similar projects or have tips for optimizing such setups. It’s amazing how these smart home systems can be tailored to fit specific needs, and I’m excited to continue exploring the possibilities with my CCU3. If anyone has questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share more details or learn from others’ experiences!
