I recently decided to upgrade my home security by installing Nuki smart locks. The process was surprisingly straightforward, but I wanted to share my experience in case others are considering making the switch. Curiosity led me to explore the Nuki Web API for creating time-limited access codes, which I found incredibly useful for managing guest access. However, I encountered a minor hiccup when setting up the access codes—understanding which time fields to use was a bit confusing at first. After some research and trial and error, I figured out that using allowedFromDate and allowedUntilDate provided the most flexibility for scheduling access. For example, creating a code for a morning meeting from 8 AM to 2 PM was seamless once I got the hang of it. Grateful for the detailed documentation and community support, I was able to resolve any issues quickly. Now, managing access for my office has never been easier, and I’m excited to explore more features of the Nuki system. If anyone has questions or needs tips, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help!
