I’m thrilled to share my recent success with creating a custom energy meter display for my Home Assistant setup! 
This project has been a fun challenge and a great way to visualize my energy consumption in real-time.
After experimenting with various ideas, I decided to use the Picture Elements card to design a sleek and informative dashboard. The goal was to have a dynamic display that updates automatically using scraped values from my energy provider. It’s been a fantastic way to keep track of my usage and make informed decisions about energy-saving habits.
The implementation wasn’t without its hurdles. I spent quite a bit of time tweaking the scraping logic to ensure it accurately reflects my current consumption. However, the satisfaction of seeing everything come together made it all worthwhile. The best part? The dashboard is entirely customizable, so others can easily adapt it to their needs!
