Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with motion detection using Wyze cameras. I’ve been using them for a while now, and while they’re generally great, I’ve encountered an issue that I’m hoping the community can help with.
I’ve set up a Wyze camera in my backyard to monitor a specific area. The problem I’m facing is that the camera is still recording motion even when it’s within an area I’ve designated as a ‘detection zone’—essentially a spot I want to exclude from motion alerts. I’ve tried adjusting the settings multiple times, but the issue persists. I’ve attached some screenshots and videos to illustrate what’s happening. If anyone has any tips or has experienced something similar, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
On a positive note, I’ve been impressed with how Wyze cameras handle outdoor conditions. They’ve been reliable in various weather scenarios, and the video quality is excellent. It’s just this one issue that’s been a bit of a nuisance. I’m really hoping to get this sorted out so I can fully utilize the camera’s capabilities without any false alerts.
