Development of a new TVR Aqara model

Now that Aqara has begun to listen to us after the launch of the site, I have a proposal for the future development of TVR Aqara.
My practice of using (4 pieces) this device has shown almost complete unsuitability for its use with independent boilers in private homes. I clarify: in houses with centralized heating, everything is relatively normal.
In the future version, I suggest.

  1. perform manual calibration of the sensor (currently only automatic).
I explain: when the TVR is triggered, the battery is currently almost always closed under the condition of decreasing the temperature to the set one, it will open only when it drops below three tens of degrees (0.3°). This is critical because the boiler is turned on and the battery is closed.
  2. Make the TVR hysteresis selection by the user.
Explanation: the hysteresis selection is necessary to adjust the temperature in the room. when the room is large, then there is a delay in heating and a situation arises that the battery is very hot at the moment when the room has reached the set temperature. At this moment, the room is severely overheating and this is unnecessary financial costs. For small rooms there is also a feature associated with hysteresis.
  3. Change the smart schedule that can be set from the Aqara application.
Explanation: the current interface reduces the possibilities of using temperature control by day and hour. You already have the practice of using cool smart schedules in your other developments, I know I have already tested.
  4. Make additional power for the TVR sensor (voltage 5V).
Explanation: no matter what cool batteries I take, I have to change them every 1.5 months. The voltage in the battery has dropped to 1.3V, the sensor is out of order. This is a very unpleasant moment when you are not at home and it is -25°C outside. This connector can be of the USB-C type. The user can choose to supply power or not, and the battery can be an alternative in case of industrial power failure.
I leave this topic open, maybe someone else will add to my suggestions.
Our ultimate goal is Aqara, the best smart home product.

Hello friend, I recognized your avatar. Let me address these requirements one by one.

  1. It means the user can perform a temperature compensation by setting a temperature value with a downward deviation of 0.5°C to allow the TRV to start working in advance.

  2. This feature involves some algorithm-related aspects. Some of our products already incorporate this algorithm, and I believe you’ve experienced it. However, applying it to radiator thermostats is still a bit challenging, as different temperature settings might affect the overall algorithm’s performance. We are currently researching and developing this.

  3. Thank you for your recognition of the smart schedule feature.

  4. Battery life is indeed an issue we’ve been continuously working to improve. We’ll first take note of this request for a rechargeable option, or explore other ways to enhance overall battery performance.

Hello, glad to hear from you.
Then I have another suggestion, maybe consider the possibility of TVR operation in valve mode, I call this mode ā€œoperation as a simple On/Off valveā€. Give the user the opportunity to choose automatic or manual valve control. Such a function would expand the work for private houses with autonomous heating (individual boiler), as a rule, when the room is heated, the electric/gas boiler is turned off.
Floating TVR temperature control is unnecessary in such cases.
Explanation: at the moment, if you turn off the valve, then it goes through a mini calibration procedure (according to my feelings from the sound of the motor with TVR). By the way, this is a rather noisy combing in the middle of the night and additional battery consumption.

Haha you seem to have the same ideas as me and similar suggestions. I suggested much the same here

They should have more beta testers where boilers are more often on/off and houses are under-insulated and under-heated.

Hello.
That’s why I made a new topic for the upcoming TVR thermostat. It will be easier for the guys from Aqara to track our offers.
