Device Connectivity Issues and Solutions

I’ve been using multiple Echo devices for quite some time now, and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. However, I’ve encountered a recurring issue that’s been a bit of a nuisance. Let me share my experience and the workaround I’ve found to help others who might be facing the same problem.

The Issue:
I have three Echo Pop devices grouped together, all controlled through the Spotify app on my iPad. The setup works perfectly when I leave the music playing overnight, but if I shut down my iPad at the end of the day, the devices lose their connection the next morning. The group doesn’t show up in Spotify, and the Alexa app doesn’t recognize them either. The only solution is to unplug and restart each device, which is quite inconvenient.

My Thoughts:
It’s frustrating because the devices work flawlessly when the iPad is on. I suspect it has something to do with how the devices maintain their connection when the controlling device is powered off. I’ve tried resetting the devices multiple times, checking the Wi-Fi connection, and even updating the Alexa app, but nothing seems to resolve the issue permanently.

The Workaround:
After some experimentation, I found that if I leave the Spotify app running on my iPad overnight, the devices stay connected. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than restarting the devices every morning. I wish there was a more seamless way to keep the devices connected without having to leave my iPad on all the time.

Looking for Solutions:
If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows of a better workaround, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing or a different way to configure the devices to maintain their connection more reliably. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other troubleshoot these kinds of issues!
