Disabling Security System on Hubs

Wondering if anyone shares the same feature request within HomeKit and Aqara as I do? With having multiple Aqara hubs in my setup I find it annoying that with each hub a security system is added! I’ve been asking Aqara to make it optional to add as when asking Siri to switch modes it gets confused with multiple systems. Anyone else agree that it would be nice to disable?

Hello,
At this time I do have 2 hubs. I have 2 doors
Door 1, Smart Door Lock U50 Which has a built in Matter Hub.
Door 2, Smart Lock U300.
Due to the distance between the 2, i added a Hub M100 in a location where both doors can connect to it.

That being said, I added the M100 Bridge to Apple home kit, and both doors show up and work great. (with the occasional disconnect of the M100 Hub)
In the beginning I tried adding them separately. It wanted me to create a second device home on my Apple Home pod.
Using both devices on the same hub I did not need to have 2 separate security systems added as you stated.
At this time, I have 3 bridges connected to the home pod.

  1. The M100 Hub for the Aqara doors
  2. A phillips Hue Homekit for lights
  3. Smart Garage Door opener that controls up to 3 doors. (only 2 in use)

There is no need to ask siri to switch modes for this location. The only time I need to switch anything is when I use a totally separate Apple Home device.

Yeah, it would be nice to have just one to contend with rather than ignoring the 3 or 4 you don’t want to use/see.

But…

I did play around with indoor M1S Hub and used that as my Alarm Panel but enabled my outdoor G5 Pro cameras to also sound off when tripped. So it does work good and you can use one to control all but I don’t like seeing numerous alarm panels in Apple Home app. It can get confusing if you don’t pay attention.

I think maybe I wasn’t clear or you misunderstood me. Aqara M1S, M2, and some others expose a security system to HomeKit. I have no need for 2 security systems to be exposed. So when I ask Siri “Set the security system to night mode” I don’t need it to be confused on which one to set hence allowing the user to choose if they want the system exposed or not!

Yes in my home specifically I have a Security Room and would like for only one of My aqara hubs to be present not 2+… Hopefully Aqara allows us more control!
