DIY Halloween Display with Govee Lights: A Family Project
Hello fellow DIY enthusiasts and Govee fans! 
This year, my family and I decided to take our Halloween decorations to the next level by creating a DIY project inspired by the iconic Pumpkin King from the Haunted Mansion. Combining our love for Disney and Govee products, we embarked on a fun and slightly messy adventure to bring this vision to life!
The Concept
Our theme this year was The Nightmare Before Christmas, and what better way to celebrate than with a custom-built Pumpkin King display? We wanted something that would stand out, and with Govee’s versatile lighting solutions, we knew we could achieve that eerie yet enchanting glow.
The Process

Design and Structure: We started by sketching out the Pumpkin King’s shape, focusing on the proportions and details that make him recognizable. Using foam board and cardboard, we constructed the basic structure, ensuring it was sturdy enough to withstand the weight of the lights.

Lighting Setup: The real magic came from Govee’s RGB strip lights. We strategically placed the strips to highlight key features like the Pumpkin King’s face, arms, and the jack-o’-lantern details. The ability to customize colors and create dynamic effects allowed us to set the perfect spooky ambiance.

Assembly and Touch-Ups: Once the structure and lighting were in place, we added the finishing touches. This included painting details, attaching additional decorations, and ensuring everything was securely fastened. Our backyard became a mini workshop, filled with laughter and creativity!
The Outcome
I’m thrilled to say the result exceeded our expectations! The Pumpkin King now stands proudly in our yard, casting an eerie yet welcoming glow. Neighbors and passersby have already stopped to admire the display, and it’s been a fantastic way to get into the Halloween spirit.
