DIY Halloween Lighting Setup: Spooky & Stylish
Hello, fellow Halloween enthusiasts! 
I just wanted to share my latest DIY project that turned out to be a hit in my neighborhood. I combined my love for smart lighting and Halloween to create a spooky yet stylish outdoor setup. 
I started by using my Govee LED strip lights to outline my front porch. The warm white color gives a cozy feel during the day, but the real magic happens at night. I programmed a preset scene using the Govee app that switches to a deep purple and green color scheme, perfect for Halloween. 
To add some movement, I incorporated some battery-powered string lights with built-in flicker effects. These create an eerie candle-like glow, which complements the LED strips beautifully.
I also decided to get creative with some DIY decorations. Using black paper and scissors, I created silhouettes of bats and pumpkins, which I placed in front of the LED strips. The effect is stunning—like a haunted forest scene right at my doorstep! 
For those of you looking to try something similar, here are a few tips:
- Layer your lighting: Combine different types of lights (LED strips, string lights, etc.) for depth and visual interest.
- Use color presets: Apps like the Govee app allow you to set custom color schemes, which is perfect for seasonal themes.
- DIY decorations: Simple materials like paper, cardboard, and glue can create amazing effects when paired with the right lighting.
