DIY Hardwood Corner Lamps with Govee H6102 LED Strip

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent DIY project with you all. I’ve always been a fan of rustic and industrial designs, so when I decided to upgrade my hallway lighting, I knew I wanted something that stood out. After some brainstorming and a trip to the local hardware store, I came up with these hardwood corner lamps, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how they turned out!

I started by sourcing some scrap oak wood from a woodworking shop. Using 1x3” oak pieces for the lamp poles and a 5.5x5.5” barn beam for the bases, I gave them a weathered finish to enhance the rustic look. To tie everything together, I opted for industrial hardware, which adds a touch of edginess to the design. The final touch? Mounting the H6102 LED strip from Govee. It’s the perfect choice for such a long strip, and the light it produces is simply stunning!

The process was quite involved, but every step was worth it. I especially love how the LED strip illuminates the wooden details, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. I can’t help but smile every time I walk by them—they’ve definitely become a statement piece in my home.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the design! Would you consider a similar DIY project, or do you have any tips for enhancing the rustic industrial look? Also, if anyone has experience with LED strips in DIY projects, I’d be happy to swap tips!

A huge thank you to the Govee community for inspiring such creative projects. It’s amazing to see how a simple LED strip can transform a space so beautifully. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!
