Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent DIY success and some helpful tips I picked up along the way. First off, I recently converted my Ring Floodlight Camera to Z-Wave, and it’s been a game-changer! I followed a detailed guide and managed to install a Z-Wave floodlight sensor, which now allows me to control the lighting through my Z-Wave hub. The process was a bit tricky, especially figuring out the wiring, but the result is worth it. I’m no longer tied to the cloud-controlled lighting, and it’s integrated seamlessly into my smart home setup. Big thanks to the user who shared their project; it was super inspiring!Another thing I wanted to mention is the support I received when I encountered an issue with my Home Assistant dashboard. After upgrading AppDaemon, my dashboard widgets started showing “entity not found” errors. I was a bit stuck, but after checking the logs and making some adjustments in my configuration files, everything started working again. It was a bit of a learning curve, but it taught me the importance of regular backups and keeping my configurations up to date. The community’s troubleshooting tips were invaluable, and I’m grateful for their help.Lastly, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone in this community.
