Do we think Aqara will ever dip there toes into making a smart thermostat? Would love to ditch my Nest and go full-on Aqara at some point

Got so sick or wrestling with Nest since Google acquired it, I would love to see an Aqara smart thermostat to replace it

It seems as though the thermostat ecosystem isn’t particularly open as you get into fancier HVACs, especially heat pumps. I’d love an open Thermostat, perhaps implemented in HA or inside an Aqara Hub, and then using W100 sensors placed around a home. But the jump bar is quite high, with no demand/impetus (that I or ChatGPT :grimacing: can find).

I would love to see it as well. I had a Nest. In the meantime I went to Ecobee with a smart sensor for another room. So far, It’s been better than Nest. Hopefully we see some movement for Aquara.

I second this! I have a Sensi and it’s been alright for the most part but it’s a no frills experience hardware-wise and the screen kinda sucks. I would love to see an Aqara thermostat with a well lit colorful display. Something intuitive and minimal would be great. A thermostat is one of those pieces of tech that you really don’t want to over-engineer. Something simple but sleek would be perfect
