Door and Window Battery Life

So what battery life are you all seeing with the door and window sensors?
(Not the P2)

I’m blown away that I have yet to replace a battery in years. All the other brands I every tired except maybe Ring had the battery die in less than a year and sometimes only a few months.

I love how small they are as well. These are the best door and window sensors!!!

I’ve had door + window sensors installed for a few months now and is still sitting at exactly 3V, no more no less. Oddly, my temp and humidity sensors dropped from 100% to 80% within a week of replacing them but have been sitting at 80% for over 2 months. Likely just a misinterpretation of the voltage if I had to guess.

All of my door + window sensors still show NORMAL BATTERY and some of them have been installed for almost 2 years. Does it change from NORMAL to LOW at some point and never show any other level?

I have to assume so yes. The Aqara app is very, very persistent with notifying me when my doorbell batteries are low so I expect it will also be very clear when the device detects the battery is approaching 2.7v/dead.

My door and window sensors have been installed for almost three years and I have yet to change a battery. AMAZING! This is not the case with SwitchBot.

Yea the only other door and window sensors I have tried that even come close are the ones from Ring.

The sensors apparently do not draw a significant amount of energy. My issue is with my G4 doorbell. Seems like the batteries do not last more that 6 weeks. I do have a significant amount of foot traffic that tends to activate the monitor.

@tempstuff have you to try full battery discharge.

  • Take a battery out.
  • Long press pair key
  • Wait for few minutes.
  • Put the battery in, it should update the battery percentage to actual value.

Battery should last a least more than 2 years
