Door sensor P2 compatible with Cam G3 and Google Home?

Hi, i’m not yet an Aqara customer and am planning a potential security setup for my home. Based on the information available online it seems that the camera G3 by now has received matter support via firmware update so I assume that it should now be compatible with the door sensor P2, shouldnt it? So I wouldnt need the additional M3 hub, right?

And I can use that setup either via the Aqara app or via Google home, right?

Hi if you want to add a P2 you need a M3 / M100 or G5 cam

Hi, thanks for the swift response! And that’s true even with the latest G3 firmware update that (seemingly) adds Matter support for G3?

So that means I need the “classic” door sensor (that’s also part of the Y100 bundle), right? Can I use that sensor in Google Home? The product website doesnt mention Google Home support for the classic sensor

I think I get now why it wouldnt work. P2 doesnt support Zigbee, and G3 only adds matter support for zigbee devices (as bridge). Phew, lots of things to be aware of :wink:
