I currently own the G410 and really like it, but the lack of POE support is a downside. I know the G400 includes POE, but reviews suggest its motion detection isn’t quite as strong as the G410’s.
I have two questions:
Would you recommend switching to the G400?
Are there any plans for an upgraded version of the G410 that includes Ethernet/POE support?
The G410’s enclosure structural design makes it impossible to add PoE functionality. Implementing PoE would require extensive modifications to the internal space and housing. If PoE power supply is a hard requirement for you, consider switching to the G400. The G400 does not rely on battery power, so it won’t run an auto-sleep mode likes the G410, it will keep working all the day. When an SD card is inserted for recording, it will not miss any events.
