Dual door mode on Aqara U400 lock

Can someone explain what exactly happens when this options is activated? Will it increase UWB sensitivity? If that’s the case I’m interested in using it to improve my single door experience which has been a hit and miss

@bgoncal You seem to be experiencing an issue with understanding the Dual door mode on the Aqara U400 lock. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:

This will be more efficient. If you do not have an Aqara Home account, “Please click here” to create a ticket.

This is for situations where you have a door in front of another. For example a storm door is in front of your main door. Since I believe this increases the distance from where it can detect your phone it may help you.

Thanks, I’ve been trying, although it felt a little bit better now, it’s still a hit and miss

Hopefully a future update will expand on those options.

We’ve also realized that the description of this feature isn’t very intuitive, so thanks for pointing it out.

This feature is only intended for setups with double doors where the U400 is installed on the outer door. In these cases, the indoor door can reflect the indoor antenna signal, which may prevent the lock from unlocking when the user is outside. When this option is enabled, we actively filter indoor signals to improve the stability of UWB unlocking.

If you have double doors but the lock is installed on the inner door, or if you only have a single door, you can safely ignore this setting.

We’re currently inviting some users to join a whitelist test for firmware v3108. In this version, we plan to expose more UWB-related settings in the Aqara Home app, allowing users to fine tune unlocking distance and UWB connection time. While this may have some impact on battery life, it can significantly improve unlocking performance and we’ve already received positive feedback from early users.

If you’re interested, feel free to PM me your Aqara account, and we’ll apply whitelist access for you.

I’m testing that already, I reach out via email. The range settings has helped but it’s still not as good as I expected. Anyway, I’m providing feedback via email.
