Dual Relay controller T2

Hi everyone,

I’m a new user and not very skilled with electrical wiring. Could you please help me understand how to properly connect the Aqara Dual Relay T2 if I want to control an electric door lock for opening my entrance gate?

Any guidance, diagrams, or step‑by‑step instructions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Patrik

Hello, welcome to the forum. First of all, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the features of the T2 relay. Next, you need to describe what kind of gate you have and what locking system you currently have. Rele T2, let's talk about it again

Hi, thanks for your message. Let me explain my setup:
I’m using the Aqara Doorbell G410, and on my entrance gate I have a standard 24V electric lock. I originally bought the T2 relay expecting it to automatically integrate with the doorbell so I could open the gate directly from the doorbell app. However, I read on the forum that this feature isn’t supported.
So now I would at least like to control the gate lock separately using the T2 relay. In my distribution box I have a 24V transformer, and from there a cable runs to the gate lock. My plan is to place the T2 relay in between to control the opening.
Does this setup make sense?

Hello. You can use the “Face Detection” function in automation

WHEN

  • “face detected”
    IF
  • relay T2 is on
    THEN
  • turn off relay T2.
I also recommend connecting relay T2 in pulse mode.
EXPLANATION, the relay turns off for 30 seconds after the OFF command and turns on itself after 30 seconds. This mode will provide a constantly closed mode of the gate lock.
For more detailed help, describe the lock used in your door.
Thanks @DEChrisE, for the screenshot of the G410 automation functions, I do not have this type of bell.
