Hi, Im seeing duplicated Aqara devices in my google home app after reconnecting account. My old devices use “Aqara Home For US and Others” which no longer exists and my duplicated devices uses “Aqara Home”.
I cant seem to remove my old devices now due to the non-existent service. Whats going on?
@nkaoo I’m sorry to hear about the inconvenience you’re facing with the duplicate Aqara devices in your Google Home app. It seems like the issue arises from the transition of services from “Aqara Home For US and Others” to the current “Aqara Home” platform, which might have led to the duplication of devices.
To address this, you can try the following steps:
Remove Old Devices Manually: If your old devices are linked to a service that no longer exists, you may need to manually remove them from your Google Home app. Check if you can access any settings in the app to delete these devices, although this may be limited due to the service discontinuation.
Reconnect Devices: For the new “Aqara Home” devices, ensure that they are correctly reconnected to the Google Home app. You can do this by unlinking and then relinking your Aqara account in the Google Home app.
Clear Cache and Data: Sometimes, clearing the cache and data of the Google Home app can resolve syncing issues. Try this step if you haven’t already.
Contact Support: If these steps don’t resolve the problem, it might be best to contact Aqara customer support for further assistance. They can provide you with more specific guidance tailored to your account and device setup.
If the issue persists, please contact Customer Service Team by Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) or scan the QR code below for efficient support. If you don’t have an Aqara Home account, please click here to create a ticket.
