Hey everyone, I’m relatively new to the world of smart home automation and I’m trying to figure out how to make my notifications more dynamic. I have about 10 doors in my home, and I want to set up an automation that notifies me every time one of them opens or closes. The challenge is that I don’t want to create 10 separate automations—this seems repetitive and inefficient. I noticed that if I add all 10 doors to the same automation, the notification under the ‘Then’ section sends the exact same message every time. This isn’t very helpful because I can’t tell which door triggered the notification. Is there a way to dynamically insert the device name into the notification message? I’ve heard about variables in other contexts, but I’m not sure how they apply here. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
