E1 Radiator Thermostat broken

I love Aqara, but the E1 radiator thermostat is not good.
This is the second one where the bracket has broken off.
I hope the W600 ist better.

Hello @david3
I’m very sorry you encountered this problem. You need to replace the screws with longer ones and everything will work. If you need a new case, you can print it on a 3D printer.

not a good sign when there is already a 3d printable to fix that issue

I have had the very same issue but did not think about looking for a 3d file. In ways that is worrying if there is a need for such a thing.

I will give it a go though

Hi @aqara228 @mpurcell2004 This 3D model was created by an ordinary user, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

My concern is with the quality of the original TRV and not the 3D print which is great to know is available.

It is awesome that someone has put the time into creating this. I will definitely be trying it out.

I apologize if my original reply was not clear enough.

Honestly I’m happy with the quality, I switched from Netatmo (by Legrand) to Aqara with hub, T2 relay to drive the boiler and 7 x E1 thermostatic actuators, cheaper and far better in performance than the “big unflexible brand”, better reliability in the connection and temperature control with more features to make all sorts of automation, and really, game changing for just a bit more than half the price of the Netatmo that is just real bad quality, no software evolution in years, etc… And the E1 thermostat have been strong for me, I have kids around somethings kicking them, one even fell off the heater (mounted on a plastic adapter, now replaced with metal adapter M30 x 1,5 to M28 x 1,5) and no problem…

Hey @david3
How did this brake? Did you put too much pressure when screwing to the radiator? Love your input so I may be more aware it doesn’t happen to me too :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh that is not good at all. I hope that W600 will be more robust.

Is the whole thing plastic?

It happens when installed

Everything made of plastic

The missing part in the picture cannot be made with a 3D printer.

If you have spare parts left, can you help me with the missing part in the picture?
