Echo Dot Kids and Echo Glow Connection Issues

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience with the Echo Dot Kids edition and Echo Glow. I recently purchased them as a bundle, expecting them to work seamlessly together. However, I’ve been facing some issues where the Echo Dot doesn’t respond to voice commands for the Glow. Instead, I get the message, “I can’t do that for kids.” It’s a bit frustrating, especially since they were marketed as a compatible set.

I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps. First, I checked if both devices are on the same network. They are, so that’s not the issue. I also ensured that the Glow is properly paired with the Echo Dot. Still, no luck. Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing? I’ve looked through the Alexa app, but I can’t seem to find any option related to disabling the kid-safe feature for specific devices.

I remember reading somewhere that sometimes third-party devices require additional setup steps. Perhaps there’s an extra configuration needed for the Echo Glow? I’m not entirely sure. I’ve also considered reaching out to Amazon support, but I wanted to see if anyone here has encountered a similar issue and found a solution.

In the meantime, I’ve been using the Glow manually, which works fine, but it’s not as convenient as voice control. I’d love to hear if anyone has any tips or workarounds. Maybe there’s a way to adjust the settings or use a different command structure? I’m all ears!

Let me know if you’ve dealt with this before or have any suggestions. I’m hoping to get this working so I can fully enjoy the convenience of voice control with my Echo Dot Kids and Echo Glow. Thanks in advance for your help!
