Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a home remodel and integrating some smart home devices into the mix. In the bedrooms, I’ve been using a mix of 2nd and 3rd generation Amazon Echo Dots. They’re great, but I’d love to get them off the nightstands and onto the walls for a cleaner look. I’ve been researching wall mounts for these devices, but there are so many options out there! Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable Echo Dot wall mount that doesn’t block the speaker or microphone? I’d also love to hear if anyone has successfully used both sockets for charging and mounting without issues.
Another thing I’ve been thinking about is integrating different smart home devices. I recently upgraded from a VeraLite to a VeraEdge, but I’ve noticed some performance issues. Scenes that worked perfectly on VeraLite are now hit or miss on VeraEdge. For example, a simple scene to turn lights on at a certain time doesn’t always trigger. I’m considering going back to VeraLite, but I’d love to hear if others have had similar experiences or found solutions to optimize VeraEdge performance.
Lastly, I’ve been exploring third-party integrations for my Govee devices. I’d love to control them through a Savant system, but I’m not sure if there’s a module available for this. If anyone has experience with integrating Govee devices into a larger smart home ecosystem, I’d appreciate any insights or tips!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!
