I have been a tech nerd for years and been trying out multiple different smart devices throughout the home for the better part of 15 years. I feel the past 5 years or so have really spread out the options, moving me away from bing in a singular ecosystem, and therefore having to find bridges or workarounds. Aqara seems to be coming closer to unifying and providing a singular point for many of the options I am looking for.
@jimbor98 It’s wonderful to hear about your 15 years of diving into smart home devices—your journey navigating the fragmented ecosystem landscape really hits home for many of us! You’re absolutely right to notice Aqara’s focus on unification. By leveraging Matter compatibility, Aqara devices (when paired with hubs like the M100) can seamlessly connect with major ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa, reducing the need for complex bridges or workarounds. Your insights as a long-time tech enthusiast are super valuable—feel free to share more about which Aqara integrations or devices have caught your eye lately
