Efficient Energy Monitoring Across Multiple Rooms

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with setting up energy monitoring across multiple rooms in my home. I have 10 rooms, each equipped with radiators and doors/windows. My goal was to create a system that alerts me if a radiator is on while the door or window is open, preventing energy waste.

I managed to set this up for one room using a combination of sensors and automations. Here’s a quick overview of what I did:

  • Trigger: Monitored the door sensor and radiator status.
  • Condition: Checked if both the door is open and the radiator is heating.
  • Action: Sent notifications through multiple channels to ensure I don’t miss the alert.

While this works for a single room, I’m looking for a more scalable solution that doesn’t require copying the same code 10 times. Has anyone found a more efficient way to handle this across multiple rooms?

If you have any tips or alternative approaches, I’d love to hear them! Let’s collaborate to make our homes smarter and more energy-efficient.
