Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to share my journey of integrating various smart home devices and creating seamless automation in my home. It’s been quite an adventure, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences too!
I recently expanded my smart home setup by adding a Shelly EM energy meter, a Wyze Floodlight Cam v3, and a few Kwikset locks. Each device brings its own set of features, and integrating them has been both challenging and rewarding. For instance, setting up the Shelly EM to monitor energy usage required some digging into MQTT configurations, but once it was sorted out, it provided invaluable insights into my energy consumption patterns.
One of the highlights has been creating a scene where locking the front door triggers the porch light to turn off after a short delay. It’s a small automation, but it adds a layer of convenience and security that I truly appreciate. I’ve also been experimenting with the Wyze Floodlight Cam v3 to control additional outdoor lights, which would be a neat addition to my current setup.
