Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience setting up a remote control system for my home audio setup. I’ve been using VeraPlus for a while now, and I’ve been looking to integrate it with my existing audio system. My goal was to control the volume, speakers, and audio sources without needing to point at an IR repeater, especially when I’m outside.
After some research and experimentation, I found a solution that works perfectly! I connected my receiver to the VeraPlus hub and set up the necessary automations. Now, I can control everything through the VeraPlus app on my phone. It’s incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, just like my brother’s Sonos system but at a fraction of the cost!
One thing I struggled with initially was ensuring the receiver was properly configured to work with VeraPlus. I had to tweak some settings and test different configurations, but once it was set up, it worked seamlessly. I also added some custom scenes to switch between different audio sources with a single tap, which has made my life so much easier.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has similar setups or any tips to make this even better. Happy to help if anyone has questions!
