Energy Usage Double Counting Issue with P1 Meter and Smart Sockets

Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring the energy monitoring features of my smart home setup and I’ve encountered an interesting issue that I wanted to share and get some insights on. I use several smart power sockets that provide detailed energy usage insights, and I also have a P1 meter integrated into my system via Domoticz on a Synology NAS. The goal was to have a comprehensive view of my energy consumption across all devices.

However, I’ve noticed that the energy tab in Homey is combining the data from my P1 meter and the smart sockets in a way that’s leading to double counting. For example, when I use my lights, which are connected to a smart socket, I see the energy usage reflected both on the socket and on the P1 meter. This results in a total consumption that’s effectively double the actual usage. While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it’s causing some confusion when trying to monitor and optimize my energy use.

I’m curious if others have experienced similar issues or if there’s a way to configure the system to avoid this double counting. Perhaps there’s a setting or a workaround that can help Homey recognize overlapping data sources and display the total more accurately. I’m also wondering if this is a common issue with other energy monitoring setups or if it’s specific to the combination of P1 meters and smart sockets.

Any advice or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated! I’m excited to learn more about how others have tackled this and to explore potential solutions to make my energy monitoring more precise and reliable.
