As a homeowner with a complex heating system, I’ve always been curious about how temperature fluctuations impact energy usage. After switching to the Nest Thermostat, I’ve been impressed by its ability to provide detailed insights, but I’ve noticed something missing in the Energy Dashboard. Currently, it shows an ‘Hourly Use’ graph, which gives a good overview of energy consumption, but I’d love to see a more detailed breakdown of how temperature changes over time. Understanding how my home’s temperature drops, stabilizes, or even overshoots could help me fine-tune the system for better efficiency and environmental impact. I’ve seen other Wi-Fi thermostats include this feature, so I’m hopeful Nest might consider adding it in the future. In the meantime, I’m making the most of the tools I have to create a more energy-efficient home.
