As a long-time user of Wyze cameras, I’ve always been impressed by their reliability and affordability. However, I recently encountered an issue with push notifications that I thought I’d share and seek advice on.
I’ve been using Stringify to automate notifications based on my Alexa routines. For instance, when I say, ‘Alexa, I’m leaving,’ Alexa triggers a series of actions: stopping music, turning off lights, and enabling Wyze cam notifications. This setup has been seamless, but now that Stringify is shutting down, I need an alternative solution.
I’ve heard that IFTTT can handle geolocation triggers, but I’d prefer to keep everything voice-command based for ease of use, especially for family members who aren’t tech-savvy. I’ve also tried using Launcher with Siri, but it doesn’t integrate with Alexa. Any recommendations for a smooth transition would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring creative ways to enhance my home’s ambiance. I recently picked up some LED neon ropes and decided to repurpose them as night lights for my stairs. It’s been a fun DIY project, and the outcome is both functional and stylish! I’d love to hear if anyone else has unique ways they’ve used neon ropes around their home.
Lastly, I’m curious about others’ experiences with integrating different smart home devices. Have you found any particularly effective tools or workarounds for combining multiple brands? I’d love to expand my setup but want to ensure compatibility and ease of use.
