I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The motion and person detection features are spot on, and having notifications directly on my iOS app is super convenient. However, I recently found myself wanting to take things a step further. I came across the idea of integrating these notifications into my own API/web service, which would allow me to automate more aspects of my home. I was thrilled to discover that this is possible, and I can’t wait to dive into the details and see how I can make this integration seamless.
Another feature I’ve been eyeing is the ability to access the camera’s MicroSD card via a web browser. Constantly removing the card to transfer videos is a bit of a hassle, so having a secure browser option would be a game-changer. I also love the idea of removing the green detection box that appears during recordings. It would make the videos look cleaner and more professional.
I’m also hoping to see a 4K version of the WyzeCam in stealth black. The current models are great, but 4K would definitely take things up a notch. I’m curious to know if others are as excited about these potential features as I am. It’s amazing how a community can come together to share ideas and improvements.
