Enhancing Zigbee Network Coverage: IKEA Range Extenders and Aqara Sensors

Hello everyone! I’m currently working on improving my Zigbee network coverage since many battery-powered sensors are frequently not responding or experiencing delays. I’ve heard about the IKEA range extenders and they seem like a straightforward solution to boost coverage. I plan to purchase three of them, placing two in the first floor and one on the attic to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Another option I’ve considered is installing Aqara relays behind existing switches, but I’m concerned that using traditional switches might still disrupt the power supply, rendering them ineffective as routers. My goal is to maintain normal switch functionality while improving the network.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or any additional tips/tricks you might have. The primary focus is on ensuring reliable communication for all Aqara sensors, including door sensors, temperature, motion, and shock detectors. I appreciate any advice you can offer!
