This wont work as it’s not added to Apple Home as a Matter device, but as a HomeKit device.

Yeah, that isn’t an option on there.
I can’t remember where I saw it, but I’m sure I saw that the Aqara app or a firmware for a doorbell had an update for fixing the “not on the same LAN” issue. So that would suggest it is a known problem that hasn’t been fixed.
It was on the G5 Pro Camera.
But when you added first on aqara home app did you check for updates?
Yes. There was a firmware update which was applied. I checked for more and there were none. The app is up-to-date on my phone
Did you contact aqara support and see what they will tell you?because this what you experience is something weird my be they can give you more options or my be there is an issue on the firmware witch they do not know about.so try contact aqara support too for better assistance regarding your issue
