ESP32 WiFi Range Issues and Solutions

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of ESP32 boards recently and have encountered a bit of a challenge with their WiFi range. Let me share my experience and some solutions I’ve found!

Initially, I was thrilled to get my ESP32 boards up and running, but I quickly noticed that they struggled to connect to my WiFi network beyond about 7-8 meters. This was frustrating, especially since I wanted to use them for a project that required them to be spread out across my home.

After some research, I stumbled upon a helpful post suggesting that the issue might be related to the power supply. The post recommended avoiding the Type C connector and instead wiring directly to the 5V pin. I decided to give this a try, and it made a significant difference! The range improved, and the connections became more stable.

I also came across some fantastic community resources and forums where others had shared their experiences. It was inspiring to see how many people had successfully overcome similar challenges and were willing to share their knowledge. I’ve since ordered some boards from a recommended supplier to ensure better performance right out of the box.

If anyone else is dealing with WiFi range issues with their ESP32 boards, I’d love to hear your tips and tricks! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out. Happy coding and tinkering! :rocket:
