Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share my recent journey into the world of smart home automation. After setting up devices across various rooms, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my daily routine. From Philips Hue lights in the living room to TP-Link Kasa plugs in the kitchen, everything works seamlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant.
One challenge I faced was naming my devices in a way that’s easy to reference through voice commands, especially with so many rooms. I found that adding the room name and a brief description helps, like ‘Living Room LED Lights’ or ‘Kitchen Outlet.’ This makes it much simpler to control each device without confusion.
